You can be tested with a general allergy panel to see if it is just dust mites or perhaps other things, including foods and environmental allergies. You are doing the right things as far as dust mites go, but it is possible to develop allergies at any time, so it may be something else. There could be something else in your home that is hiding, perhaps molds in the walls, termites or more. General testing will cover some of these things - talk to the allergist and decide what to test for. There are allergy medications, but it's best if you can avoid them since they often lose efficacy over time and it's better to avoid the allergen (as you have been trying to do) if possible.
