I Have an Oreck XL21, I LOVE IT i had it for two years with great power in cleaning for the 21 Year warranty this vacuum is NOT over priced it’s a great value, even though it doesn’t have the stupid attachments it came with small canister vacuum and i love it! I was going to buy everyone on my Christmas shopping list an Oreck XL21 Titanium series, but their stupid little brains went over board and now the vacuum is discontinued because Oreck claims it too long of a warranty! But i still got mine with the 12 year warranty and 21 free annual tune ups!

I just purchase the Dyson DC17 Animal and it’s amazing. I vacuumed our master bedroom first and the canister was 50% full. I was amazed and grossed out all at the same time. I am usually one who finds a problem with everything but this vacuum is truly amazing. Sears has it for 0 and Lowes for 0 and sometimes you can get 10% off of that. We have already done the whole house, even my husband is helping out to see how much he can collect with it. We have a chocolate lab and this vacuum is highly recommended if you have pets. I can finally lay on the floor after vacuuming and not see any pet hair left behind. Our old vacuum was an eight year old Eureka. So glad I spent the money!

We must have had 10 vacuums in the past 5 years. We have been buying bagless upright vacuum cleaners in the -0 range. We run a playgroup from our house so we vacuum alot!! At least 3 times a day. These cheap cleaners just don’t last. The loose suction very quickly and eventually just break. So we have decided to invest in a better quality one. Any suggestions of a good quality vacuum cleaner that will last and do a really good job time after time. We don’t really care about bag/bagless or upright/canister. We just want something that works well and will last. We are looking in the 0 max price range. So far we have been looking at Dyson, Oreck and Electrolux. Please help!!!!

I have a dyson animal and kinda hate it. It’s clunky, hard to detach everything and doesn’t clean my hardwood floors (or carpet for that matter) that well. I have a lot of steps and it’s a PAIN to move up and down.

Would a canister be better for me…I want something light, retractable cord, and easy to use attachments. I feel like I use the attachments the most and on the Dyson, it’s like you have to take the thing completely apart to use it! I was looking into the Miele’s…

I’m trying to buy a new vacuum that won’t die on me. I’ve narrowed it down to two choices – Miele S163 Universal Upright Stick Vacuum Cleaner (0), Dyson DC24 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner (0). I’ve had the Hoover S2220 Flair Bagless Upright Stick Vacuum with Power Nozzle () for a little over a year and it’s already dying (shuts off after 5 minutes of vacuuming, losing suction power). Can anyone offer some advice on the dyson and miele… or if there is a better lightweight vacuum out there (not looking for a canister vacuum).

ok, so, today i bought a 2 yearold dyson vacuum, the 07 animal, and the clear bin (dyson owners, you know what im talking about) isnt clear, its more of a white foggy type color, and i washed it with water like the book says, but its still foggy! in the beginning i thought it was just a lining of dust, but it seems that its an oily film, what caused this and how do i get rid of it?

im not about to call customer service or buy a new bin/canister thing, so what did you do to yours?

oh, the book says not to use detergents. im assuming thats soap.

I’m looking for a new canister vacuum but can’t get my mind around the BAGLESS Dyson- seems like you still have to be careful about getting dirt and dust back into the air. Please leave your thoughts and feedback on vacuum cleaners and HURRY! I can’t wait too much longer to make a decision!

I am looking for a new vacuum for my house that is being built. I was told that the Dyson’s are the best vacumes. Anyone have one? I have a dog so I was thinking about getting the Animal, but I know how big and bulky they are. Does any one have the Slim?
Okay, so I have decided I am going to get a dyson. I just dont know if I should get the Slim (because I will be carring it up and down the stairs a lot), or the Animal (because I have a dog, but it is short hair English Bulldog). What do you think?

I need to know if these are dual voltage…and if someone could please check, that would be great! I want one so bad, but live overseas temporarily…and have to use my transformer with my Dyson, which is annoying. However, it isn’t a deal breaker…just need to see what I might get myself into.
