About a year ago I bought a Shark brand vacuum similar to this. It was cheaper and as the saying goes you get what you pay for. This has good suction and is great for steps and furniture. I would recommend it and the value for price is very good.

I have 2 cats 1 Black and 1 gray and white. They shed their fur all over and I could never get it all cleaned up until I found this Dirt Devil. It has great suction for such a small machine but the power brush makes all the difference in the world. I use it on the livingroom furniture, on the bed and throw rugs If you got pet hair problems this is the vacuum for you.

Pros- really takes care of dog hair on furniture and stairs. Easy to use, easy cleanup. I don't think it's too heavy or too loud.

Cons- none really. Maybe it doesn't quite get into corners; I would have liked a 25 foot cord instead of a 20 foot, but that's being a little nitpicky.

I recommend this to anyone, whether you have pets or not. I also got an extra filter from GoVacuum.com. Their service was great

This vaccum is good for certain uses, not so good for others. The suction on the vac is very good compared to others I’ve tried. It is good for vacuuming up pet hair on couches and anywhere else with a flat surface in which you have enough space to maneuver the vac (with its wide mouth) without attachments. It is not so good for using as a car vac and I would not suggest it for that purpose (since it has a wide mouth and can’t maneuver easily in a vehicle). The attachments are pretty worthless as they do not clip on the body of the vac very well and continually come off. Suction is not so good when using the attachments.

Looks great just the right size for your car or dorm room . The bad part it broke in the first 5 minutes, it comes with 2 belts and a tool that right there was the first clue of problems to come .

belt keeps coming off you have to unscrew the bottom part pain in the az to install the belt once again then it pops off after a few minutes, the sucktion works fine just cant use the brush ..

you get what you pay for not worth buying.
