can I buy just buy a spare dyson transformer (that takes 240V) from the uk and replace the north american (110V transformer) which will be on the machine?
or are the transformers in dysons hard wired in and difficult to replace?
just curious because im planning on moving to the UK in the next few years and dont want to buy anything too expensive unless I can use it there or make it work there

Depending on the device
1most likely the company have power supplies for worldwide operation.
2travel agencies, and many others, have converters. Small ones 50W are transformer type. Larger ones 1000W are semiconductor types and not recommended for small electronic devices.
Hope this properly answers your question
