Is it a mom thing? To get excited about?
So back in the day I might get excited about buying new shoes, or an electronic something, a cool accessory. *Sigh* Well I am soooo excited about…my new vacuum. It’s coming Wednesday and I can’t wait to use it.
My Dyson died, and honestly this is my 2nd one in 4 years, I’m done with that brand. After reading hundreds of reviews and looking at all the allergy and asthma websites, this one looked like the best option with the best reputation.

Is this normal? Is it a mom thing to get excited about appliances? Please say yes 
Stay@: It does do hardwood and the lin… I can’t wait to use it. I have carpet in the bedrooms and livingroom, hardwood in the kitchen and lino in the bathroom. I may leave work early Wednesday to fully appreciate my purchase… Oh if my high school friends could see me now. lol

Thats too funny! Yes I got that way when my old vacuum died and I got to pick out a new one. It came with a duster that sucks the dust off of it. I couldn’t wait to go home and vacuum the carpets.
The best was when I FINALLY got my kitchen aid mixer from my parents for Christmas. I was like a little kid.
BTW- that looks like a neat vacuum. i bet it does hardwood and linoleum floors too. Thats what I really want!
EDIT – thanks for making me laugh this morning! I can’t wait for my 10 year reunion to brag about my mixer and other wonderful household appliances.
Sadly yes it is normal. I got a new Fridge and Stove last summer and you would have thought I was getting a new car or something because I was so excited!
It’s exciting to buy/receive any time any day of the year and no matter what the item is!

heck yea. what else is there to get excited about? in my world it’s excitement about house hold products and the kids or nothing! I’m excited because I just got some money for my birthday and I am going to go buy new bed sheets! don’t feel bad I think it’s normal

this weekend I was stoked to get carpet tiles (do it yourself adhesive tiles) for the basement, and I got one box for $15, reg $60 bc the store honors a ”price accuracy” !!
Oh yes I am most definately excited–now I can type here without the bare concrete–YIPPEEE!!
It is very normal. According to my husband I look like a kid in a candy store when I get new appliances. I just got a new kitchen aid mixer and I spent an entire day baking 800 kinds of cookies and muffins with the kids.
LOL! I am the same way. Is that sad or what?! Maybe not sad, a good vacuum cleaner isn’t cheap and we can keep our kiddos healthy. Right?! We bought a Kirby and justified the $1300 price tag by saying it was to keep the dust away and help with our sons allergies. That’s true… "if" we use it, ha-ha. Congratulations! : )
I would say this is the equivalent of a guy getting excited about a new tool.
