I used it at my mom's house after she vacuumed with her really nice vacuum and I picked up a lot that she missed. I really like it because of how great it cleans the carpet. We bought it brand new and it was way more then I will ever spend on a vacuum again but so far it has been worth it. However, we recently bought a house that only has one room of carpet and the rest of the house is tile and hardwood and It really doesn't work so well on the hard floors. Maybe I just haven't figured out how to use it on these floors yet but it is great on carpet. It isn't really a loud vacuum, I've had louder but considering it is a vacuum, it still does make noise.
