I have a Dyson animal which is designed especially for pet hair and it's one of the best products I've ever owned. I know Dysons are expensive but I don't know if a used one is worth $200. What I did was sign up for the mailing list from Bed Bath and Beyond. They sent me a 20% off coupon and with a $500 price tag on the Dyson that saved me $100. I don't know if this helps but it might give you a better idea of the difference in cost between new and used.
