Thinking of buying Dyson Canister?

We had a dirt devil canister which was the worst vacuum ever ..now I’m really thinking of something durable and never lose its suction power and no more bags to buy ,we went to Costco and a sales lady there told us about the dyson one -it’s really expensive around 0.
We have a small house and two kids ,I was thinking the canister will be easier to hold it up and down the stairs than the upright models ..we have carpet and bare floors areas ..
any ideas?

Excellent choice; Dyson ! they are the best vacuums albeit the price but if you want one much less expensive but one that will hold up to lots of abuse and still have lots of suction buy Panasonic upright vacuums they are excellent choice I currently own a Panasonic and it has held up for a lot of years and still has plenty of suction it has been the best for less, you really don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to get good suction and a vacuum that will hold up for years to come, so I would recommend Panasonic as a second choice Good Luck !
I’m just stunned that Costco has "sales ladies." That right there drives up the price.
Go for the dyson, but get it at Amazon.com…. they have the best prices.
The october 07 consumer reports gave a best buy to the Sears Kenmore Progressive 27514 for $300. It has a bag, which I think is better than trying to clean out the bagless filter (yuck). The top rated canister bagless was the Hoover wind tunnel bagless S3765-040 for the bargain price of $180. There were no Dysons evaluated in the canister section of the report, but in the upright section the Kenmore and Hoover models beat out dyson and they cost less than Dyson
costco would be the best place to buy something that expensive for one reason: THE RETURN POLICY.if anything happens to it,take it back….today tomorrow next year…take it back….i m getting one too and it’s coming from there…good luck
There is the Dyson "Animal" at Costco and also the Dyson Slim, which sounds like it would be ideal for your lifestyle.
Call your local Costco and ask if they have the Dyosn Slim.
It will be gone soon from Costco so be sure you call very soon!
