Vacuum power?

I see these two vacuums, one is rated at 1300 watts, the other is rated 12 amps. what one is stronger. the models are Shark Pursuit Cyclonic Canister Vacuum, model number EP724, rated at 1300 watts, the page I’m getting this info is http://www.kohlscorporation.com/ecom/valueadded/SG_Vacs_canisterChart.htm .
What are your experiances with the dyson vacuums?

The 12 amp vacs are more powerful than the 1300 watt machines.
As for the Dyson, they are over rated and over priced! The manufacturer claims they never clog. Pollywogs to that! I worked in a vacuum repair shop and never had a day that a dyson didnt come into the shop clogged up. Customers were always upset when we called them with an estimate to unclog their Dyson, as a clog is not covered by warranty.
Dysons are very expensive and do not do any better than any other 12 amp vacuum.
I have owned a vacuum cleaner store for 15yrs.I’ve studied vacuum tech. and design for about 25yrs.I always want to see if there is something better out there so I’m always testing my family says it’s a sickness,but anyway,The dyson vacuum is the very best,I’ve studied them way before they came to America.I like the fact that any store you go to now days,everything is cyclone this and cyclonic that.Too bad the cyclone tech. was invented by guess who?James Dyson,so why is all the other vac companies switching to cyclones or trying to.They can’t completely copy him they would be sued,but it has to be an exact copy for it to work,trust me they don’t CLOG I’ve sold hundreds and I am the service center for dyson,I would see them coming in.Hope this helps you chose a dyson.Don’t worry about amps and watts that’s just the electric drawn from the wall, not power.
