What should I get my Mother for christmas?
I know this seems like a ridiculous question to ask strangers, but any suggestions would be helpful. I was going to get her & my stepfather on of those Black & Decker Broom Vacuums, but I heard that they aren’t worth the money. My mom will like anything I get for her of course, but this is the first year I actually have enough money to get her something really nice & I can’t think of anything.
Can someone please help me out with suggestions?
Or can someone tell me that the Black & Decker Broom Vacuum isn’t really as bad as my friend told me it was?

I just lost my father in September.
I don’t even need to think about losing my mother.
No matter how `in the future` it is.
I`m actually looking at day spa prices right now.
But I can’t find one in my area that has something she would enjoy.

A spa gift certificate is a great idea… I would love that myself, almost every girl would! Pick a treatment or two that she’d like and get it in the amount for that…
another thing would be to get her a gift certificate to a nice restaurant that she and your stepdad can go out to eat together… (maybe also a gift certificate to a movie so they can make a night of it)
Or what about some framed art from art.com? They have TONS of stuff, photography, fine art, all sorts of stuff. You could buy the print online and then go to a store and buy a frame…. or have them frame it for you. Thats what I did for my mom (though i suppose it does depend on what kind of gal she is… how she decorates her home, you definitely have to know what she her tastes or else she’ll open it up and if she doesn’t like it she’ll feel obligated to hang it up anyway… awkward!)

How about a gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure. That’s a nice gift.
Did you ask her or your stepdad what she would like? Maybe ask him or her to make you a list of things. I don’t know about the B&D broom, so I can’t answer that. I think the best thing to do would be just to ask.
I haven’t had one of those Vaccum Brooms lately, but the one I did have awhile back was not worth a penny.
Why not ask your Mom "If you could have anything, anything at all in the whole wide world… what would it be?" Or "if you made a list of the top 3 things you’d like for Christmas, what’d it be?" Tell her to "pretend" that the "gift fairy" is listening. Make it a fun topic to have fun witih. Nothing wrong in just wishin’ or talkin’. It may or may not become a reality, but just talk about it and explore the possibilities.
