I use the Swifter and they are so expensive. I Swifter every other day and sometimes more and the dust just keeps on coming. We have no carpeting. Vacuums scratch. I have dark laminate looks like real wood but shows everything. I am a slave to my floors. What about a broom vac by black & decker?

You can use a washable microfiber cloth on a Swiffer. Get several so one’s in the wash wile you’re using the other. You can also buy them at http://www.flylady.net/pages/FlyShop_mop_refill.asp They are so thick and soft they’ll never scratch your floors. These are slightly larger than a Swiffer mop or you can buy the mop as well http://www.flylady.net/pages/FlyShop_mop.asp They’re more expensive than a Swiffer but as you can tell in the pic they’re well made and quite sturdy.
I have a wet/dry vac and I love it. It uses solution and water and does well. I’m sure any brand would do. Mine is made by Bissell.
I had a roomba that did a great job with the continual hard wood floor dust build up – It didn’t seem to scratch the floors at all. Otherwise, you’ll have to mop. to save money, a regular mop dampened with a little water or a water/vinegar mix will do the job as well as a swiffer.
its called a dust mop.
yep. A dust mop.
Sometimes the oldies are goodies.
Buy a large industrial sized dust mop. So simple. I have this type of flooring through the house and it is no problem.
Vacuums scratch? Not when you use a proper floor brush attachment. If a broom vac has a beater brush in the head, it’s for rugs and not meant for bare floors. Maybe if you bought a decent vacuum cleaner and used it regularly, you’d have a bit less dust around. Most of those stick vacuums are toys. A flat microfibre floor mop with some laminate floor cleaner on it should work to clean the floors. For dusting, use an old fashioned dry dust mop.
