Where can I find ratings of Kirby vacuum cleaners?

I just bought a Kirby Sentria and was wondering if I had been taken. Price was 00 and I got it for 95 with two old vaccums. Guess I was concerned, other than the price, that there is virtually no ratings on other sites about how good a Kirby is against other vacuums.

I wish you had asked this before your bought it! I got one and I HATE it! It doesn’t clamp together right all the time and it takes me about 30 minutes to an hour just to get it right so it will suck right. Lot’s of other problems too. Doesn’t shampoo like it should. I just hate it. I wish I had never bought it. Hope you have better luck with yours.

Online with Consumer reports. Personally, I have a Kirby. They are not worth what they want for them. The vacumm is great and does a great job. But, the shampooer isn’t all that. It puts down the shampoo but it doesn’t pick up the dirt left behind nor does it suck th water back up which is needed to get rid of the dirt. i got a bissel and love it. You would be better off getting a bissel and a much cheaper vacumm. Save your money.

I clean house for a living. I despise the Kirby. It isn’t any better than it’s cheaper counterparts. I know….when they demonstrated it it really picked up the dirt. ALL NEW vacuums will clean that well. They are over priced dinosaurs!

We cleaned display homes for years and just used plain old Eureka vacs at $59.00 a whack. We tested a Kirby and found it didn*t do any better than the Eurekas
My friend had one and said she wished she had never bought it because it was so heavy to push around and it took so long to change a belt, she had to always phone her son to come and change it for her. She said for what she paid she was sorry she ever bought it; You don*t always get what you pay for.

We have had one for 18 years, and very little trouble with it.. For the first 3 weeks the bag kept filling up, and felt like sugar, When we asked why it had to be emptied so often the guy explained that it was taking out the grit that was embedded in our carpets .
We empty less frequently, now that the carpets are clean properly for the first time..
We would’nt have any other one.
