Which model Dyson vacuum cleaner should I buy? Keep in mind Allergies are big in my house.?
My wife and I have a townhome that has a lot of allergens left in the carpet. We have shampooed the carpets and it is still bad. It seems like our vacuum does nothing to the carpet right now and is a little worn down. I am planning on buying a Dyson for her and have read good things about the animal and the DC-24 ball. What is the absolute best model? If not a dyson what is the absolute best vacuum? I like Kirby but they are pretty heavy and expensive.

Are you crazy? You’re planning on buying a bagless vacuum cleaner and you have allergies. Every time you empty that canister, all of the allergens that were previously in your carpet will be air-born! I say forget the Dyson and get a Kirby. If you use the new Sentria bags, they have better-than-hepa filtration. The cheapest Kirby Micron Magic bags have excellent filtration if you don’t want to drop big bucks on the Sentria bags.
I have a dyson animal and absolutely love it. But I have a long hair indoor cat too. If the allergens are pet dander, I would recommend the animal. If not just got with one of the others. The ball type are good for getting under furniture without a lot of bending. All in all the dyson is a great vacuum to me, no matter what model you chose.

I vote to purchase the animal dyson too – I have it and it is AWESOME! I’ve had it for approximately a year now. In regards to dumping the canister – I never dump it inside the home, I always dump it in our garbage canister outdoors. In case you haven’t already, you may want to look into an air filter that will help remove the allergens from the air in your home. Hope this helps!
